What's On Our Needles?

Pattern:
Mountain Clouds Blanket by Christina Hadderingh

Yarn: My Little Sunshine by Jody Long

Linda is in the home stretch with this beautiful crochet blanket. She has completed the 141 motifs and is moving on to weave in all the ends and sew the motifs together.  She used 10 colors of My little Sunshine. Do yourself a favor and zoom in on this one - so pretty!

Pattern:
 Sunbird by Nadia Crétin-Léchenne

Yarn: Duna by Amano Yarns

From Ravelry.com:

Sunbird” is worked in one piece, top down, without seams.

The idea with this design was to create something really simple to knit, with the least finishing steps possible. Once you bind off the last stitch of the second sleeve, your project is done. No buttonbands or neckband to pick up, as they are created along the garment, with some nice icord edging. You will only need to sew the buttons on!

Pattern: Fleur by Espace Tricot

Yarn:
Rustic Silk by Ella Rae and Aerial by Berocco

From
Ravelry.com:

Fleur is a cheerful confection of a shawl that combines simple garter stitch and whimsical bobbles in a sweet, easy to wear accessory. Meditative knit stitch is interrupted by just four rows of bobbly texture to achieve a shawl that delivers high impact flare with minimal effort.

Pattern:
 Honeycombs Cowl by Tabetha Moe

Yarn:
Cosette by Dream in Color

From
 Ravelry.com:

This cowl is a cozy and stylish accessory perfect for cool weather. Measuring 11 inches wide by 9 inches tall, it’s knit seamlessly in the round with sport weight yarn and simple stitches, making it accessible for all skill levels.

The honeycomb pattern is created by knitting one color at a time, avoiding the need for stranded colorwork. The pattern download comes with both written and charted instructions for working the pattern. It also includes helpful tips for sizing up or sizing down to achieve any size you desire.

Pattern: Life of a KnitGirl by Mary Annarella

Yarn:
Stargazer by Juniper Moon Farm

From
 Ravelry.com:
This sweet scarf uses a modified dragonfly-lace pattern with zero-cabling (a smocked set of stitches replaces the cables) and a neat, icord edging. Written for 2 size lengths, the scarf can be easily lengthened or shortened further by adding or subtracting the number of repeats worked in the pattern.

Pattern: Jaunty by Andrea Mowry

Yarn:
Natsumeki by Noro

The Half-Fishermen’s Rib pattern makes this amazing scarf squishy and warm.
Bridgette knit hers up in just one week and it only took one skein of Natsumeki.

This would make a great project for Christmas gifting!

November Dream in Color

This month's Smooshy Cashmere pop-up color (GiddyUp) has us dreaming of a walk on a Christmas tree farm! You will receive the exclusive pattern for the High Desert Shawl free with your yarn purchase - and the shawl would be great for your walk among the trees ;-)

Smallidays Have Arrived!

“Smalliday Sets” are Emma's version of advent sets. They are called “Smallidays” because the idea is you open one “Small” a day during the holidays! Each mini skein is individually wrapped and meant to be kept secret until the first color is opened December 1st, and another each day after for 24 days total. This set makes the perfect holiday gift for any fiber artist!

Sets include (24) individually wrapped and numbered Smalls in brand new colorways exclusive to the set, a Little Bee Lip Balm, and a new “Emma’s Yarn” sticker. A list of suggested patterns will also be provided in each set.

Hint: Our color theme for this year’s Smalliday Set is “WELCOME TO THE JUNGLE”
