The stranded leaf motif is knit in the autumnal colorations of SILK GARDEN #341 Yokosuka, and it stands out beautifully against the main color worked in the neutral shades of #269 Komaki. Our friend, Steven, is knitting this beautiful colorwork sweater for his wife Cathy.

Sunbird is worked in one piece, top down, without seams.

The idea with this design was to create something really simple to knit, with the least finishing steps possible. Once you bind off the last stitch of the second sleeve, your project is done. No button bands or neckband to pick up, as they are created along the garment, with some nice i-cord edging. You will only need to sew the buttons on! Kitty knitted the 3 month size.

Yarn: Poema Cashmere by Laines du Nord

Winterlight is a reversible asymmetric triangular shawl, knitted on the bias, increasing outwards from one top corner of the triangle. Mesh lace sections, interspersed with cosy garter stitch and textural broken rib sections, create a shawl with visual interest and a soft fabric that drapes beautifully.

The long washes of gradient color in the Poema Cashmere flow perfectly with this pattern.
