What's On Our Needles


Yarn: Tsubame by Noro

This beautiful eyelet scarf is completed with just one skein of Noro Tsubame. Kitty is loving this scarf. The pattern is easy to follow, the yarn is soft and the color changes keep it interesting.

This cozy blanket made up of knit and purl stitches will be a favorite of mom and baby alike! The design features fun woodland animals such as sweet squirrels, hedgehogs and owls.

Casapinka Mystery KAL

Who is ready for Casapinka's annual Mystery knit-a-long? This year's design is for a rectangular shawl with 2 versions: One for absolute beginning shawl knitters and one for advanced beginners. This shawl uses 4 skeins of fingering weight yarn in contrasting colors (as opposed to colors that blend or fade into each other). Come in to pick from colors that we have put together or feel free to select your own. 

The KAL begins August 7th and a new clue will be revealed each week for 6 weeks

Loveable Lion

From Ravelry: "The Loveable Lion blanket is a square blanket good for use as a babyseat throw or nap time snuggling blanket. Who wouldn’t love the textured mane (picot stitch) or the cage like cables running parallel to the lion? The word LION at the top and bottom adds just a touch of whimsy to the overall design". This blanket can be knitted in any shade but looks particularly good in soft golden yellow.This fun blanket by Sproglets Kits was knit in Modern Cotton by Berroco.

The Golden Hour

From Linda: "I wanted to do something different and try some stitches I had not done much of before. This piece has some mosaic knitting, bobbles, and eyelets to create a different look and will feel great this fall and winter." 

This shawl would look great in your favorite sports team's colors don't you think?

This is another version of one of our favorite patterns knit in Cumulus Dappled by Juniper Moon Farm. This one was made a little longer with a few less repeats. Fun and beautiful!

Our Completed Projects

Easy Baby Elephant Blanket
This fun blanket by Sproglet Kits was knit in Modern Cotton by Berroco. This sweet little hat by Lauren Rad is knit in Simply Spectacular DK by Emma's Yarns. From Ravelry: "This light, fluffy hat is similarly meant to be the perfect topper to your favorite outfit. It has just enough detail to be interesting without being a distraction from the other items you’re wearing, so it can blend well with your existing wardrobe while still being a fun addition."  

Boho Baby Blanket
This beautiful pattern by by Appalachian Baby Design is knit with US Organic Cotton. The fun chevron stitch in this baby blanket lends itself well to beautiful color combinations. This blanket will be a treasure for any baby and his or her parents!
