What's On Our Needles

Pattern: Old Sport by Chris de Longpré

Yarn: Recycled Tweed by Queensland Collection

From Ravelry.com:

"The easy fit of a rugby jumper and striping borrowed from a vintage tennis sweater combine to make a pullover that’s ready for all the activities in a busy boy’s day. All-over ribbing, modified T sleeves, and a mock turtleneck make this a comfortable favorite."

This sweater pattern is found in the pattern booklet

"Timeless Knits for Kids (Size 4-14)."

Our Recently Completed Projects

Pattern: Currents by Jacob Siefert

Yarn: Sonata and Sonata Shima by Noro

From Ravelry.com:

"The perfect wrap for late afternoons at the beach, or when you want to remember them. Working width-wise in garter stitch, short rows create the undulating wave stripes. Each short row section is worked in Sonata, with two knit rows separating each section in Sonata Shima."

Pattern: Beginner One Skein Shawl by Tanya Eberhardt

Yarn: Cumulus Rainbow by Juniper Moon Farm

This crochet shawl can be worked up in a weekend and is perfect for beginners in crochet. It only uses simple stitches: double crochet, skipping stitch, and the chain stitch!

Of course the number of skeins this shawl will require depends on the yarn you choose. Linda used two skeins of the amazing Cumulus Rainbow which is a worsted weight 94% Cotton, 6% Nylon yarn.

Pattern: SSP (Slip Stitch Party) by Isabell Kraemer

Yarn: Practically Perfect Sock by Emma's Yarns

From Ravelry.com:

"SSP is worked flat (sideways), increasing along one edge to create an asymmetrical triangle. Stitches are increased in the slip stitch pattern and then onward into the 1x1 ribbing. A built-in slip stitch edge and the slip stitch colorwork (you only work with one color on any given row) will be the perfect introduction into colorwork (promise - you will have nothing but fun!). The combination of easy slip stitch patterns and the sportive wide ribbing give this shawl a sophisticated yet casual look."

The pattern includes additional instructions for a slightly different version (two colors only, larger size).
